My Watershed

All my life, I've lived near water, just north of White Clay Creek Preserve. This landscape holds fond memories of following deer trails into the woods and walking along the creek with loved ones and my camera. It's a place to slow down, take in my surroundings, and peacefully enjoy nature. Here, my connection to my watershed begins.

Memories by the Creek

Further downstream, we reach the East Branch of White Clay Creek, where I took this photo with my boyfriend, with whom I've spent many hours exploring this area. Much of my outdoor time growing up was spent along this part of my watershed. Whether biking or walking with friends or family, this stretch of the creek has a special place in my heart.

As we reach the bay and the ocean, we come to another place I call home: Ocean City, New Jersey. My family has a place down the shore, where we’ve made countless memories with family and friends. This familiar shoreline reflects the peacefulness of weekends spent growing up, as well as memories still waiting to be made as time goes by.
